Margiela Gets Luka Sabbat’s Hot Mess Treatment In New Campaign

Heal me.

Luka Sabbat is everywhere rn, including the new Margiela campaign. Earlier today, the the fashion house dropped an all new photo series created by (and starring) Sabbat and his best friend Noah Dillon, who, together, go by the name Hot Mess.

“They are one of our favourite houses,” Sabbat said about their decision to work with Margiela. “Having melted the line between art and fashion for decades.”

In the series, Sabbat and Dillon get dental work done, as well as a few botox injections — because, you know, who doesn’t include botox in their check ups?

“Noah has a history of poor health, continually in and out of doctors’ offices,” Sabbat explained. “[…] Margiela’s lab coat aesthetic mixed with our knowledge of streetwear identity bred what we feel is a seamless effort.”

It’s also true to the Hot Mess vibe. After seeing Dillon’s work on Instagram and Twitter, Luka naturally slid into his DMs. Since then, the duo has been collaborating non-stop on projects — like a recent series of billboards they placed around the United States of fake ads for brands like Chevy and Balenciaga, as well as this new Margiela campaign. Like most of their work, this new imagery feels like a document of the time they spend hanging out (or in this case, at doctor’s appointments), instead of an overdone fashion editorial.
