A Look Inside Inez & Vinoodh's New York Apartment

See the photography duo's stylish digs, feel jealous.

Who doesn't dream of owning an impeccably stylish loft in downtown New York? It's exactly the type of place you'd expect to find the home of fashion photography power duo Inez and Vinoodh. It's also no surprise to find that the pair, who recently shot Beyoncé for the new H&M campaign, occupy not one, but two beautiful lofts in Manhattan's Lower East Side. Seven years after purchasing their first loft in 1996, the couple decided they'd go for another and have ended up with a 3,400 square foot home intriguingly divided into two parts — one cavernous and one split by a mezzanine level.

You can't even hate them for it because their eye for aesthetics — helped along by interior designer Daniel Sachs — has skillfully captured that middle ground between artsy clutter and elegant restraint. An appropriately glamorous source of inspiration was Truman Capote's modernist-1970s Hamptons home, and objects used include a table by Yves Klein, chairs by Charlotte Perriand and Philippe Starck as well as works on display that were gifted from their many friends in the art world, darling. All of this simply adds to the New York artiste loft fantasy, with each accouterment adorning the space a mark of their opulent, creative life together. The rest of us will just continue to dream...
