Alexander Wang Resort 2013 Lookbook

We've said it before, and we'll say it again: We love Wang. His version of Resort season is dark and dramatic, A-Wang through-and-through with only black and white (bar a little beige).

Leather, a Wang staple, is vital again, seen in sleeves, skirts and crop tops. Whether in calf or croc, it holds it all together. Special props to the leather trench that's more amazing than The Matrix.

The severity of the leather is tempered by silk, which appears in panels on sports-inspired pieces, or — at its most delicate — a diaphanous white dress. Meanwhile, a pleated white dress exemplifies the meeting of dark and light, with its thigh-high split revealing little leather shorts.

Cut-outs are carried through to shoes, plus 90s sportswear-influenced parkers, bare midriffs, a puffer vest and racerbacks so strappy they're nearly bondage. There's also a yoga mat. Imagine doing a downward dog on that baby!
