Alicia Keys & A$AP Rocky Get Real Deep On 'Blended Family' [Listen]

Let's hear it for the fam.

Alicia Keys and A$AP Rocky just dropped a song about nontraditional families and it's breaking our bloody hearts. 'Blended Family (What You Do For Love' is all about Alicia's IRL experiences creating a new fam with her husband Swizz Beats and A$AP's experience growing up in blended fam. You guuuuys.

"Hey I might not really be your mother / That don't mean that I don't really love ya /And even though I married your father / That's not the only reason I'm here for you," Alicia sings on the opening verse, with A$AP offering up such cute/real lines as: "I remember having four stepmoms at nine / Love Christmastime and birthday was fly".

Alicia announced the newie on her website with some words on its meaning:

"I'm so excited for you to hear this song. It means so much to me and our whole family. The understanding, compassion and support we've found is a powerful testament to the healing that comes when we choose love. Especially for the kids… the most important part of our lives. Celebrating Mashonda for our commitment to each other with support and true growth."

'Blended Family' comes off Alicia's sixth album, Here, which drops on November 4. Feel the family love below.Photo: @aliciakeys
