Anna Wintour's Pinterest Page

Featuring a rhino mouse, frogs' legs and an old-school Naomi Campbell.

Anna Wintour has created a Pinterest page (or, perhaps, some interns at Vogue have been appointed with the task of creating a Pinterest page for her). As part of Vogue's 120th anniversary celebrations, the page — as its title suggests — is comprised of "Anna Wintour's Favourite Images from Vogue". Here's a selection of her best/weirdest inclusions (above is a shot from a Cleopatra-inspired beauty story from 1990 by Irving Penn):

Now this rhino mouse isn't exactly an animal you'd associate with the world of high fashion, but apparently this wrinkly little guy was "responsible for pivotal skincare advancements in the 1990s." We don't really want to know how exactly. This image was shot by Irving Penn in 1991.

Anna's first ever Vogue cover! The model, Michaela Bercu, had just returned from vacay, during which she'd put on a little bit of weight (as you do) and so couldn't fit into the intended couture. Cue the first of many of Anna's great ideas — putting her in jeans! This was shot by for November 1988 by Peter Lindbergh.

Here's Naomi Campbell with Mike Tyson and a chuffed-looking, polo-wearing Don King, shot in 1989 by Bruce Weber.

This gnarly looking arrangement (shot by Irving Penn) ran with an article on food phobias, written in 1989 by Jeffrey Steingarten.

Designer Konstantin Goncharov, his wife, model/actress Irina Kuksenalte, and model Christy Turlington, shot by Arthur Elgort for the 1990 September issue.

While we're on the topic, Oyster is on Pinterest too! We can be found right here — check out our sweet pins.
