Arnsdorf Collage Competition
It's time to crack open a bottle of Clag.
Remember Clag? That gluggy glue with a red bottle-top brush? My brother used to chow down the stuff (apparently this is a widespread phenomenon). So widespread, in fact, that a bunch of Jewish schools have banned it because of the biblical prohibition on consuming wheat products during passover (Clag is made from wheat). While I never quite realised Clag's culinary delights, I was always fond of the stuff. During the golden years of primary school, I would apply generous dollops to cotton wool balls, glitter, pipe cleaners and macaroni (along with pretty much anything else I could get my grubby hands on) and make mish-mash masterpieces for the fridge.
A love of cutting, pasting, festooning, maiming and making a mess was instilled during those tender years and hasn't waned one bit. Which is why I was really excited when I heard about the Arnsdorf collage competition. If you win, not only will you have fresh work for your fridge gallery, you'll score a $1000 wardrobe and be featured in Arnsdorf's scrapbook. The idea is to look at the Pantone colour codes in their recent 'Tremors' collection (think brick, fawn, lilac, dove grey, citrus, electric blue, navy, nude, rose, white and black) and put together a collage of items which share the same hues. Be sure to pick a colour that you like, because if you win you'll be getting a grand worth of clothes in that same colour.
To enter, you'll need upload your collage to Arnsdorf's Facebook page. The entry with the most 'likes' will win. Start getting crafty, because you only have until midnight on April 22. Of course, if you're technologically inclined you are allowed to to use programs like Photoshop and Illustrator ? but if you know what's good for you you'll crack open a bottle of Clag.
