Exclusive: Kym Ellery's NYC Photo Diary Pt 1
The designer captures her G'Day USA trip for us.
Last week, Kym Ellery as in New York to undertake a business trip as part of her inclusion in The Australian Five. Kym traveled alongside the other designers picked for the showcase (Fernando Frisoni, Christopher Esber, Michael Lo Sordo and Magdalena Velevska), which was sponsored by Woolmark and the Australians in New York Fashion Foundation. Part of the broader G'Day USA cultural initiative, the showcase was an opportunity to prove to the American market that, while capable of throwing snags on the barbie and citing the Jimmy Barnes discography upon request, we are also a nation capable of producing designers of an international standard. Ellery is one such label with a global outlook, and certainly one we are proud to call our own. This is New York through Kym's eyes.
