Backstage at Alexander Wang FW12

Hello Gisele, Abbey Lee, Karolina, Carmen, Anja, Shalom...

Ahead of his ambitious plans to open 14 (fourteen) stores in China this year, Alexander Wang unveiled a befittingly adventurous collection that - with the help of Gisele, Abbey Lee and Karolina - made quite a statement over the weekend. Channeling the concept of a "surrealistic approach to fabric manipulation", Wang incorporates monochromatic colour schemes into futuristic, almost dystopian shapes and lines for FW 2012.

Backstage, models could very well have been mistaken for an army of dominatrixes (an extremely leggy army, to say the least) draped in leather coats, knee high boots and fishnet turtlenecks. Here are Oyster's favourite looks from photographer Sonny Vandevelde's trip backstage.
