Bambi Northwood-Blyth for Josh Goot Resort 2013
Inspired by the Great Barrier Reef.
The lookbook has landed for Josh Goot's Resort 2013 collection, which was inspired by the Great Barrier Reef. There are coral pinks and ocean blues, and prints derived from the reef and its animal inhabitants — for example, the zebra-looking print has actually been adapted from the patterned scales of a fish. Well, I never!
There's also an inoffensive nod to the 80s with belted blazers, boxy bomber jackets, body-con dresses, bare midriffs, and a sweater dress (this season marks Josh's first foray into knitwear). Neoprene, apparently the most popular fabric in the world, is replaced with silk that has been magically bonded to thin foam, but don't worry — the wetsuit vibe is kept alive through exposed zips.
