Beetlejuice 2: Winona Returns

She's in talks to reprise her role. Hence, GIFs.

Remember when Alec Baldwin was really skinny, Winona Ryder was an angsty teen and Tim Burton movies were actually good? Neither do we — Beetlejuice came out 1988 and we were barely born.

Despite that fact, we're still pretty stoked to learn that the ghost-comedy classic has a sequel in the works. Not a lame sequel, like that other Winona Ryder-related train wreck — this one will be set in the present day and emo queen Winona herself is in talks to reprise her role as Lydia Deetz.
As she told The Daily Beast, "I'm kind of sworn to secrecy, but it sounds like it might be happening," adding that the film will take place three decades after the original, and is definitely "not a remake." She continues: "I have to say, I love Lydia so much. She was such a huge part of me. I would be really interested in what she is doing 27 years later...That's one of those movies where little kids stop me. I'm so associated with it. I think it gave me my career. I was such a weird looking kid." You look exactly the same, girl. You haven't aged. Let's celebrate this unconfirmed remake announcement with a look at the Best of Winona in GIFs!
