Burberry Prorsum Spring 2012 Menswear
Christopher Bailey's Burberry man is best served with a pipe and pot of tea.
Christopher Bailey leads us on a jaunt across the British countryside in his postcard-perfect Spring 2012 presentation for Burberry Prorsum. Honing in on the houses heritage appeal, the focus is on traditional English workwear with home-style hand finishes. Texture is top of the list, with touches of hand shredded raffia, tumbled cotton, and embroidered felt applique adorning every surface in a woodsy palette of moss green, orange, beetroot and clove brown.
Kooky crochet bobble caps are perched atop almost every head, paired with terrific turquoise-trimmed moccasins, lending an eccentric flair to Bailey's Burberry man. Top off your Fair Isle?knit and pyjama-shirt ensemble with a pipe and pot of tea.
