Culture Club To Tour in 2012

Hey, Boy George! Come back to Australia!

Fantastic news: Boy George has confirmed a solo tour for 2011 and a Culture Club tour for 2012. The Culture Club tour will be "huge" and "worldwide", the singer told the BBC, which I have interpreted (unwisely) as an unbreakable pinkie promise to definitely come to Australia. In the interview, he also promised the inclusion of 'Karma Chameleon' in the tour, which is a pretty good excuse to watch this 1984 performance in Sydney:

Look out for the audience members at 2:30. Is this how people used to dance? If you're really keen you can buy the DVD of that tour from the excellently titled website, Eagle Rock. Culture Club are SERIOUSLY good live. Watch their performance of 'It's a Miracle' on your father's favourite TV show of all time, Countdown, in 1984:

Boy George, you had such a good time here - come back again! Not only is Norman Gunston not a thing anymore, but we won't deny your visa like the USA did (we let Snoop, Eminem and HEAPS of British tourists come here). Plus, we make TERRIFIC cups of tea.
