What was your favourite song of last year? Mine was 'Grade E' by the mysterious Sydney band, Erik Omen in Atlantis. Everything about it is perfect - the music, the artwork, and the video:
After being featured on the wonderful A L A I N F I N K I E L K R A U T R O C K (maintained by Pilooski, among others) the single is finally being released on the Midnight Juggernauts-run label Siberia Records (in conjunction with Mother Sky Records). You can pre-order the cassette (cassette!) ahead of its February 18 release, and the self-titled five-track EP can also be digitally downloaded via Bandcamp.
The best news of all is that they're having a party to celebrate! Siberia Nights is this Friday at the Good God Front Bar. You'll be able to hear an Erik Omen in Atlantis DJ set, alongside the Juggernauts DJs, DJ Google Maps and The DJ Formerly Known As Finger Blister. For free!
