Exclusive: Carly Hunter AW13 Lookbook

A fine fusion of work and play.

Refined and utilitarian at first glance, Carly Hunter's AW13 collection 'Escape Into Reality' summons style adjectives like clean, minimal, sophisticated, timeless. However, upon closer inspection, the intended themes ring clear. Carly explored the relationship of work life to leisure and escapism, fusing classic design appeal with luxurious fabrics and thoughtful accents.

Jewel tones and metallics crop up among a largely neutral palette, suggestive of the contrasting ideals from which the collection was born. There is also silk and cashmere, the former draping languidly in dress, pant, and blouse varieties and the latter lending coats a sense of elegance in their oversized forms. And oh boy — everything appears even more comfortable than your worn-in tracksuit combo (no easy feat).
