Oyster Mix: Goodgod Splendour Road Trip
"Driving is the best way to listen to music you don't know, so hopefully there's a few new ones in here for you all."
The good guys at Goodgod are hosting the Smirnoff Cocktail Bar at Splendour tomorrow night. Their favourite DJs are playing, including but not limited to Radge, Shantan Wantan Ichiban, Perfect Snatch, Joey The Saint, Slow Blow, and Jimmy Sing (who is Goodgod's General Manager/Music Director). Here's what Jimmy had to say about the mix that he and Hana Shimada made for you to listen to on your drive to Byron:
It's basically a soundtrack for the drive which is probably the most enticing thing about Splendour to me each year. I reckon driving is the best way to listen to music you don't know, so hopefully there's a few new ones in here for you all. Probably the closest link to Splendour in the mix is that there's a lot of Aussie music (10 of the 14 tunes). But sadly none of these bands are who you'll be seeing live at Splendour — you'll have to listen to them at the Goodgod stage on Friday! And for your precious info the car starting at the mix intro is indeed our dearest 1972 Fairlane ZF 500.
