Exclusive: Karla Spetic AW13 Lookbook

James Nelson shoots Swedish model Linnea Regnander.

Karla Spetic's AW13 collection 'And There Was Light' is reminiscent of The Virgin Suicides. Not only is Nordic babe Linnea Regnander like a real life Lux Lisbon in the lookbook, the central colours in the collection — crisp white, powder pinks, oranges and blues — are reminiscent of Sofia Coppola's soft and subtle rendering of 70s suburbia.

Lace dresses, crop tops, velvet jumpsuits, high-waisted trousers and geometric prints might also be nods to the decade in which the cult classic film is set.

The femininity of silk and delicate embroidery is countered with oversized cashmere sweaters (which are as soft as human hugs), and the lookbook's pairing of pretty pieces with sneakers shows off the cleverness of Karla's clothing.
