Jack of All Tracks are a DJ collective from Southern California who also maintain a music/art site called The Lovely Daze. The Lovely Daze is dedicated to "100% triple OG" shit — interviews, mixes and the like. Sticking with the Cali flavour, the guys are into G-funk and have prepared an exclusive mix for us as "an ode to Southern California's signature G-funk sound". They also told us ten facts about themselves.
1. The balloon that covers the face in the photo was supposed to be polka dotted, but it popped before we got to the site. R.I.P.
2. We boiled this mix down to 14 tracks from the original 30.
3. Most of these songs are performed by live drummers ... In other words, it was a bitch to mix.
4. We didn’t shower for a couple of days to really get funky.
5. We love Southern California.
6. We want to take pictures and spin some music in Australia because everyone seems rad and all the people there are such babes.
7. We would love to DJ all of the dope festivals/raves where kids get weird (Coachella, Mutek, DEMF, Sonar, etc).
8. We think the long lost Kenneth Chiem is king.
9. The mix was made with two turntables, a mixer, some records, and MP3s.
