'Girls' Event at ACMI

Finally a place dedicated to fanning out over Lena Dunham.

ACMI's final Live in the Studio event for the year will be held on 29 November. It will be dedicated to everything Girls — the Lena Dunham-created Judd Apatow-executive produced HBO series that will begin airing its second season next year 13 January (the same night as the Golden Globes).

So listen up, children of the indoors, this is an opportunity for you to make some IRL friends who share your socially detrimental passion for television. You can bond over how much Lena Dunham (who we interviewed for our All Woman Issue) just *gets* you:

Weighing in on a list of very important issues which may or may not include accusations of the show failing to depict cultural diversity, and the consequences of Lena Dunham's haircut, will be writers Clementine Ford and Byron BacheThe Lifted Brow Editor/Publisher Sam Cooney, and Women Of Letters co-curator Michaela McGuire. Triple R's Jess MCguire will host.

Buy your tickets online before they sell out (Full $15, Concession $12, ACMI Members $11). And if you've been corralled inside all winter and didn't make it to any of the other Life in the Studio events (like the one on Arrested Development, or the one on Twin Peaks, or Breaking Bad, or Game of Thrones) you can download the podcasts and pretend you were there.
