Golden Plains 2012 Lineup

Any music festival with a 'No Dickhead' policy is definitely leading the musical charge this summer. Couple an aversion for pretentiousness (and a distinct lack of commercial sponsors) with what might just be the most tantalizing line-up of the year, and you've got yourself a fairly stunning music festival. Spanning multiple genres, multiple days and providing infinite auditory and visual satisfaction, this festival will leave no soul untouched. Golden Plains, we love you.

As the headliner, Bon Iver will set the mood amongst the sun-sets and the ghostly gums in the Meredith Amphitheatre at Golden Plains Sixxx. For those looking to grove, ample beats will be provided by finale place holders ultimate disco band Chic, featuring Nile Rodgers. Naysayer and Gilsun, Dexter, Endless Boogie, Canyons and Two Bright Lakes DJ's will keep you dancing until the wee hours. If it's rock n' roll you're after, Golden Plains brings you Black Lips, Urge Overkill, Lanie Lane and Kisstroyer.

Fleshing out the main acts will be Roky Erickson, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy featuring The Cairo Gang, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, Charles Bradley, Roots Manuva, Low, Seekae, The Celibate Rifles, Harmony, Lost Animal, DJ / Rupture, This Thing and Hunting Grounds.
