Guest Playlist: Francois K’s Top Ten Tracks

The Godfather of house music makes us a pre-tour playlist.

French-Armenian DJ François K has spent the last 40 years playing venues like Studio 54 and Paradise Garage and producing acts like Diana Ross, The Smiths, Kraftwerk, The Cure, Pet Shop Boys, Arthur Russell (below) and Eurythmics. François Kevorkian is not only the founder of Wave Music records, he’s also got some of the most famous New York dance floors, like Club Vinyl’s Boy&SOUL, pumping. In more recent years he’s resided at Deep Space NYC, where he continues to bring the party.

Thankfully he’s also bringing it, and his impressive live visuals, to Australia and New Zealand this month. What better time to pick the brain of the man himself? We asked Francois for his top ten tracks of all time, with sonically far-out (and deeper than expected) results.
