Guest 'Ultimate Summer' Playlist: Codie Young
50% fun, up-beat party songs, and 50% chill, mellow, laid-back beach-y sort of songs.
As part of Oyster's online Christmas celebrations, we're happy to bring to you an ultimate summer playlist curated by ultimate babe Codie Young. Hailing from the Sunshine Coast and just 18-years-old, Young is definitely one of Australia's most promising exports in the modelling industry right now, having walked an absolutely insane 35 shows during the international season including for Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Rodarte, Calvin Klein and Jil Stuart. She's also appeared extensively in Vogue, and graced the pages of i-D, Another, V, Self Service, Dossier and more. We'll allow her to take over...

My summer holiday playlist is sort of a slash winter one seeing as I've been in Europe. I can't wait until I'm back in Australia to truly enjoy my summer music in the summer sunshine. My playlist consists of some really recent music but also some relatively old stuff as well. I think a summer holiday playlist should consist of a good variety of music ? 50% of fun, up-beat party songs, and 50% of chill, mellow, laid-back beach-y sort of songs. Summer in Australia is all about taking a break and having fun as well as relaxing on our beautiful beaches and soaking up the sunshine which I know I take for granted. Enjoy!
1) 'We Found Love' - Rihanna
I really love this song. It's just a fun song to dance and party to.
2) 'Runaway' - Kanye West
Not totally sure why I like this song, I suppose the lyrics are kind of cool. I'm really starting to like Kanye's more recent music.
3) 'Stereo Hearts' - Gym Class Heroes
This is a nice, it's a fun kind of up beat song but chill at the same time.
4) 'Buses and Trains' - Bachelor Girl
This is an old song I know but recently I have been listening to a lot of older music such as this.
5) 'Pumped Up Kicks' - Foster The People
This is a very laid-back song, and I enjoy listening to music like this as it's really mellow and nice to listen to. I'm not quite sure why, but it reminds me of the beach. Maybe this will be one of my new car driving songs on the way to the beach.
6) 'It Girl' - Jason Gerulo
I love this song ? it has nice lyrics and a good chorus. It's one of those easy to sing along to songs.
7) 'Rosie' - Joan Armatrading
I love, love, love this although it's quite old. But it's such a nice song, I really like Joan Armatrading.
