'Heart-Shaped Box' is About Courtney Love's Vagina, She Reminds Lana Del Rey
After Lana covers the Nirvana song at her Sydney show.
Lana Del Rey covered Nirvana's 'Heart-Shaped Box' at her Sydney show last Thursday prompting Courtney Love to remind her that the song is totally about her "Vagina". The tweets have been deleted, but Stereogum caught them before they went down.
And about an hour ago, Courtney tweeted this disclaimer:
UPDATE 10:32am AEST: She has since also deleted this tweet!
You really know it's 2012 when Courtney Love is tweeting regularly (remember when Twitter didn't exist?), using the word "lol" (remember when "lol" didn't exist?), Lana Del Rey is singing Nirvana songs to rousing applause at the sideshow of a headline festival tour (remember when Lana Del Rey didn't exist?).
Sidenote — Courtney has also, inexplicably, involved Bryan Adams somehow. If anyone knows why she might have done this, please get in touch with us immediately.
Watch Lana cover 'Heart-Shaped Box' here, (and don't forget to think about Courtney Love's vagina).
