Hello Kitty Airplanes

Don’t believe us? Take a tour.

Holy flying cuteness! The arduous chore of airline travel could very well be the biggest first world annoyance of our time. But fear not, modern jet setters, because things just got a whole lot more endearing. Or nauseating, depending on how you feel about Hello Kitty and her various collaborations. (Just FYI, her actual name is Kitty White. She would never admit to that, however, because she has no mouth.)

Anyways, the good people at Taiwan’s EVA Airways have collaborated with Sanrio [chinese language], to create 3 Hello Kitty planes. Think they’ve just lazily painted some cute stuff on the side of a regular old Airbus A330-300? Think again. There’s Hello Kitty-themed check-in counters, tickets, food trays, uniforms and probably sick bags, in case you need to throw up, up and away. Ahem.

If you’re not planning a trip around Taipei, then no Hello Kitty for you. Take a look through the gallery to see what you’re missing out on. Hint: it involves a considerable amount of pink. Also, the planes have names: Apple Jet, Global Jet and Magic Jet. Collect them all!*

*May not include apples, global travel or magic.
