Iggy Pop Covers Serge Gainsbourg & Others on New Album

The godfather of punk does (mostly) French covers.

From the man who teaches us that you're never too old to dance with your shirt off comes a new album of (mostly) French covers. The godfather of punk solidifies his transformation to old crooner in this new record which will include covers of Serge Gainsbourg and Edith Piaf with The Beatles, Yoko Ono and some Frank Sinatra thrown in for good measure. Après is Iggy's nineteenth studio album, and follows up English/ French compilation Préliminaires released in 2009. 

The album is scheduled for release on May 9th. In the meantime, you can Listen to French Iggy in this clip from the aforementioned Préliminaires.
