Jingle Jangle's 3rd Birthday & Playlist
A party tomorrow night and a Brigitte Bardot mixtape to celebrate.
Jingle Jangle will celebrate its third birthday tomorrow night at Sydney's GoodGod Small Club. In 2009, two pals with engimatic names — Smokey La Beef and Smart Casual — decided to start a night devoted music that no other Sydney venue was playing. We're talking 50s and 60s pop, we're talking Southern, rythym and blues, exotica, rockabilly and a whole lot in between. But how did they find a low-down, dirty dive to accompany such beats? Luckily, fellow obscure music aficionado and friend Jimmy Sing had started putting on nights called GoodGod out the back of the Spanish Quarter restaurant La Campana. And so Jingle Jangle jingled and jangled its way into existence. Their third birthday also celebrates the end of a 6 month hiatus, and looks set to bring back the party in a big way.

But that's not all! They've made a playlist especially for the occassion, and it's a homage to Brigitte Bardot. You can download it from the Jingle Jangle blog.
