Kanye's Tweets in Needlepoint
Fur pillows are actually hard to sleep on immortalised through embroidery.
Best idea for a Christmas present ever? Some genius in California is handy with a knitting needle and has acted on what we've all been thinking for a while now, 'I wish I had that Kanye tweet immortalised in needlepoint to hang on my wall forever and ever.' Amy Sheridan sells the pieces on Etsy and has shown a keen eye for selecting the very best of Yeezy's 140-characters-or-less which highlight his ability to articulate the collective anguish of the modern world, e.g. how fur pillows are "actually" hard to sleep on, how Persian rugs *without* cherub imagery make him angry, and how you can say anything in a text or email as long as you put "LOL" at the end of it.
Sheridan's original piece was Kanye's infamous airline water bottle complaint? "I hate it when I'm on a flight and I wake up with a water bottle next to me like oh great now I gotta be responsible for this water bottle". It's like he knows my soul, you know? No wait, the one where he knows my soul simply reads: "Sometimes I get emotional over fonts". Sure, he was probably having a heated discussion about the merits of Palatino versus Century Gothic, but I like to imagine him having a private moment at home, reclined on a chaise lounge, caressing a worn copy of The New Yorker and getting caught up in the typography, a single teardrop falling down his cheek.
