Karen Walker Mainline AW13 Lookbook

Retro-futurism and great coats.

Last week we laid eyes on the lookbook for Karen Walker's Runaway collection, and now comes the AW13 Mainline offering. Karen approached this season with a 1950s optimism in mind and the way this decade thought about the future, which predicted that by now we'd have hoverboards, all food in pill format, and Futurama-esque tubes which shoot you from point A to B (jibbed). There are many nods to this retro-futurism e.g. the galactic prints which look almost like your childhood bedspread. Your attention also needs to be directed towards the vast array coats, of which there are many desirable options. Also, big-ups Karen for making beige decidedly not-boring.
