Listen: 'Wrath Of God' by Crystal Castles

Another taste of their upcoming album.

If 'Wrath Of God' sounds like an epic title for a song, that's because it is. Electronic duo Crystal Castles' newest track, just posted on Soundcloud from their highly anticipated forthcoming album III, is the sound of singer Alice Glass unleashing her frustrations at our dystopian world. She said in a statement, "Oppression is a theme, in general… A lot of bad things have happened to people close to me since II and it's profoundly influenced my writing. I'm one step away from being a vigilante to protect people and bring justice to the people I love. I've thought about it."

Including 'Plague', it's the second track the band has released from the album, which comes out on 6 November (see the cover below). For III, Alice and bandmate/synthwizard Ethan Kath have done away with digital, choosing to produce the record by themselves, all straight to tape. "We wanted the new album to sound like a completely different and new experience," said Ethan in a statement. "Any keyboards and pedals used on I or II were traded for different keyboards and pedals so that there would be a new palette of sounds to work with. We wouldn't allow any computers near the studio."
