London Fashion Week Review & Runway Gallery: Mulberry

Print upon print... and poodles!

Whoever says that London is a dreary town hasn't been to a Mulberry show. It was all bright colours and florals this morning in the ballroom at Claridge's in Mayfair. The setting was a decadent English garden covered with walls covered in flowers and the floor scattered with gnomes, as there is prone to be in your typical English Garden.

At the last Spring Summer presentation Kate Moss and Kristen Stewart were the (front-row) stars, but this season a standard poodle got all of the attention — the crowd even whooped when it made its first exit (the dog had two different looks!).

The clothes were very pretty, as usual, this season there is a focus on 70s silhouettes and shapes — long, flowing dresses and wide-legged pants. Prints were piled on as a Total Look and in this setting it was almost a flower power overload, though, if anyone can pull that off it's Mulberry Creative Director Emma Hill.
