Marchesa x Playboy
A surprisingly delightful union.
In what seems like an unlikely marriage, Marchesa have joined forces with Playboy. To celebrate the launch of the London Playboy Club, the Marchesa ladies - Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig - have redefined the Playboy bunny costume. Once donned by the likes of Debbie Harry and Lauren Hutton, the new, one-off design stays true to the classic corset silhouette, with certain Marchesa signatures like hand draping and embroidery also thrown in the mix. The result is a modern, feminine take on an iconic look, complete (of course) with bunny ears.
The height of debauchery during the sixties, The London Playboy Club was once frequented by the likes of Jack Nicholson and Sir Michael Caine. Having closed its doors for almost 30 years now, the club is staging its comeback on June 4. The Marchesa one-off bunny costume will be revealed before this though, at an exclusive press preview of the Club to be held on May 26. Following this, the bespoke piece will be auctioned to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness.
