Mary Katrantzou's Topshop SS12 Lookbook

A fanciful floral print-on-print roller coaster ride.

Topshop have enlisted Mary Katrantzou once more for a collaboration, and it will be available for the first time in Australia at Topshop Melbourne. A Central St. Martins graduate and print enthusiast, the Greek-born designer follows in a tradition of the high street powerhouse supporting the next generation of design talent. The whole SS12 collection is based around print, with swirling florals, oranate jewels and fanciful fauna, all underpinned by a nod to Oriental decoration. Silhouettes are vase-like and playfully shaped, with print-on-print looks providing a visual roller coaster ride. Susie Bubble is already wearing the bowl dress and we're more than a little jealous.

"My idea behind the collaboration was to design for the Topshop girl a range that is as close to the aesthetic of my mainline as possible, with great control over the quality of design and production," Katrantzou says of her latest, third range for Topshop. "I can't wait to see the Topshop girls in the bowl dresses and for the most daring to see them try the print on print layering!"

The ten-piece collection launches in Topshop online on February 17. Follow Topshop Australia on Twitter to be the first to find out when it hits the Melbourne store!
