MBFWA Review: Gary Bigeni

Geometric prints, zig-zag knits, matching tonal florals and leather.

If you saw a photo of Gary Bigeni, you probably wouldn’t expect him to design the clothes that he does. He’s got turquoise hair and loves a good creeper, his appearance suggesting that he’d send some kind of bedazzled kimono down the runway. But when it comes to his label, he’s a man of the less is more mantra. He’s become known for knitwear and draped jersey pieces (and colour blocking before it became annoying), and this collection he relied on these hallmarks. There were 60s geometric prints, zig zag knits and matching tonal florals, leather-paneled goded skirts and leather zip pencil case accessories.
