Meet Lily, a well travelled babe who's spent time with the Himba tribe in Namibia and been attacked by a peacock in Tuscany. She looks like a 70s throwback and has the music taste to match. Dana Boulos
shot her above and we got to know her below.
Jerico Mandybur: Where are you from and where are you currently living?
Lily: I'm from Los Angeles, CA and I'm still currently living there.
Earliest childhood memory?
Getting attacked by my family friend's pet peacock in Tuscany.
Moment that changed your life?
Staying with the Himba tribe in Namibia. I was so intrigued with the major cultural differences that I had been completely unaware of until then. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget!
Five women you look up to?
Malala Yousafzai, Grace Coddington, Georgia O'Keeffe, Aung San Suu Kyi, and my mom (obviously).
Best piece of advice you ever received?
"Let it go and move on."
What would your last meal be?
What animal would you like to be reincarnated as?
Probably a cheetah.
What rules would you instil if you were Supreme Leader of Earth for one day?
That every person has food, fresh water and shelter.
What song do you really wish you'd written and why?
'Sympathy For The Devil
' by The Rolling Stones. They were my first concert and I've been obsessed with the song ever since. The lyrics are so clever and every time I listen to it I can't help myself from singing at the top of my lungs.
