Meet the Models — Georgia May

"I really, really like The Lord of the Rings Orchestra at the moment."

You know those kind of nerdy girls who are also really pretty but only exist in movies and TV shows? Well, Georgia May is one of those girls but she is actually real. We caught up with her at the MBFWA casting we held with Mark Vassallo and Yimmy Yayo.

Ingrid Kesa: How long have you been signed for?
Georgia May: Since 2010, but I just finished school two weeks ago and moved here.

Where did you move from?
Byron Bay. It’s so full-on but I love it [in Sydney]. It’s such a change.

Will this be your first Fashion Week?
Yeah.

Have you walked in a show before?
My first one was last night.

What was that for?
Kenwood Appliances.

Are there any shows you really, really want to be in?
Not particularly. I’d be happy with anything. I’m just excited to be part of it all.

What was the last book you read?
Dragon Keeper by Robyn Hobb.

What band are you really into at the moment?
I really, really like The Lord of the Rings Orchestra at the moment, but also Delphic and Crystal Castles.

How do you think you went with the HSC?
I did really well with everything except chemistry. I just passed, so I guess it was alright.
