The collaboration between British designer Gareth Pugh and makers of plastic shoes Melissa was announced in June, and the range finally had its launch in London this week. The event was hosted by Pugh himself, and featured music by DJ Princess Julia and Richard Mortimer, founder of London club BoomBox. Melissa is well-known known for its creative collaborations, most notably with Jean Paul Gaultier, Vivienne Westwood and Ronaldo Fraga. Pugh said about the collaboration, "Melissa is a perfect partnership for me, with their creative approach and innovative way of working."
The flats with the star print have been walking all over the pages of fashion blogs for some time now, but the sandals are just being seen for the first time. They've also created a short video to showcase their new collaboration:
