Models On Tumblr
The new breed of model bloggers taking over our interwebs.
Not all models are just a pretty face; some of them also have mad IT skills and a clever knack for the blogosphere. While the idea of models-slash-bloggers is not exactly new (Hanneli Mustaparta, case in point), more and more model bloggers are migrating over to Tumblr-land. Here, we've compiled a list of some of the models with Tumblrs that we'd follow in a heartbeat (or mouse-click, if you want to get all technical).
Oh So Coco
Coco Rocha has been on Tumblr for quite some time now and before she was a Tumblr fan, she was posting on blogspot. Not one to be shy of the Internet, Rocha's Tumblr is both 'fashion' and fun at the same time. Plus, she's the catalyst for so many other models flocking to Tumblr that they should probably just employ her already as their official brand ambassador already.
Hilary Rhoda describes Coco Rocha as "the Tumblr Queen!" Despite the fact that Rhoda's own Tumblr has been a bit neglected of late though, Coco Rocha has been busy recruiting other model friends to jump on the blogging bandwagon such as Behati Prinsloo, Coco's old-time friend and amateur-filmmaking-partner-in-crime. While 'Oh So Coco' mostly 8 snapshots from her editorial work and a nod to her charitable efforts, Behati's Tumblr acts more as a gallery for her own photography featuring photos of everything from charitable trips to Haiti with Coco and co., to the beaches of Mexico, and snaps of family and friends. It's great to see Prinsloo showcasing her talent behind the camera as well as in front of it. Win for Tumblr!
Karlie Kloss is another member of Coco Rocha's Church of Tumblr. A new recruit, the nineteen-year-old model only launched 'Kloss Gloss' last week, but already the blog is shaping up nicely. We particularly like the cute personal photos she posts up, mostly so we can vicariously live through her and her blessed life. And the fact that models eat popcorn too!
What if God is a Cat?!
Anja Konstantinova's Tumblr is less of a personal monologue and more of a tribute to all things weird and wacky. It's called 'What if God is a Cat?!' and rest assured, there are lots of cats on this blog. There are also lots of other tiny animals, a few personal shots and something of a fascination with bruises. We'd follow Anja's Tumblr because it shows that she knows how to keep it real and doesn't take herself too seriously.
