Kate Moss for Longchamp.

For fashion's favourite villain, turning 36 isn't the only cause for celebration as the rebellious supermodel is set to collaborate with luxury label Longchamp to design a new line of handbags.

After two decades at the top of the industry, Moss is no stranger to the designer title. Previously appearing in four seasons of Longchamp ads, this time round Moss worked with artistic director Sophie Delafontaine to create the initial line which is certain to be overpriced and an instant success. This follows past collaborative triumphs including the sell out fragrance, Kate, and the in-demand pieces sparked by a collaboration with TopShop in 2007.

The Spring / Summer 2010 line (obviously) titled 'Kate Moss for Longchamp' will be released February 11. Yet this partnership will be no one-off, with Moss set to continue working with the Longchamp house over the coming seasons.

Kate Moss does it again with Topshop

Today Kate Moss’s spring collection for TopShop hits the stands. Her line for TopShop has been hugely successful in the past, and this range is tipped to be no different.

Fortunately for those outside of the UK, it will also be available online, so everyone can get in on the action.
Originally Kate Moss’s TopShop collections were modelled on favourite pieces from her own wardrobe, but now Moss is shifting the focus to clothes she wants to wear, but doesn’t own.
The collection is a girly one, starring camisoles and pretty dresses. Florals, proving to be ‘09s most enduring (and endearing) trend, will also take the forefront. In a rare interview Moss told The (British) Telegraph:
“When I was growing up everything was about Liberty prints for me. I had Liberty-print dresses when I was a child,’ Moss says. 'They remind me of my mum. Like all those gorgeous 1970s shirts with little flower Liberty prints that are so delicate and really English, and so cute.”
Happy to concede she doesn’t draw or sew, Kate Moss works with a large, talented team to produce her collections. She takes a hands-on approach, but it is perhaps the collaborative effort behind each range that has resulted in such enduring success.
Although the full range is unlikely to be available over the web, plenty will be. With prices ranging from $30 AUD up, the collection is also accessible to the budget-conscious. To view the range go to: the Top Shop website
