Oyster #95 Out Now!

Featuring Lindsey Wixson, Aubrey Plaza, Kreayshawn, James Blake, Mark Gonzales...

Issue #95 has finally hit the stands! It'll be hard to miss - Lindsey Wixson lends her gap-toothed beauty to not one, but TWO, covers. The shots (check them out here if you haven't already) come courtesy of photographer Will Davidson and Oyster's new Contributing Editor Stevie Dance, who captured Wixson's contagious energy on a road trip from Nashville to Memphis. Issue #95 is the first issue with NYC-based Dance on board, and she has pulled together a variety of contributors including the inimitable Tierney Gearon, Turned Out's Maya Villiger, and Darren MacDonald, who shot model Rachel Rutt in some NSW sand dunes.

The theme for the issue is the American Dream (or what's left of it) and what it means to the new generation of Young Americans. If (like us) you're addicted to NBC comedies, there's Parks and Recreation's Aubrey Plaza and Community's Gillian Jacobs. Obsessed with tween heartthrobs? Look no further than Alexi Wasser's interview with Logan Lerman, star of The Three Musketeers and the verbosely-titled Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.

As for music, Wooooo Magazine's Jason Crombie compares tattoos with overnight YouTube sensation Kreayshawn, and Ariane Halls interviews a very sincere James Blake - as well as the world?s most intimidating 21-year-old, Nicolas Jaar.

For the more culturally-inclined among you, Joseph Allen Shea interviews the legendary and unpredictable Mark Gonzales in Paris, Editor Alice Cavanagh meets up with Brooklyn band Light Asylum in Berlin and, in New York, curator Aaron Bondaroff (aka A-Ron of OHWOW gallery) hosts a discussion among his artists and peers about the idea of the lost American Dream.
