Oyster #97: This Must Be The Place

Urban Outfitters ask their contributors to capture what The Real Deal means to them.

Urban Outfitters has mined a seemingly endless resource of exciting and talented people. For Oyster #97, the retailer reached out to some of these people and asked them, "What represents The Real Deal to you?"

"This is my favourite place to swim in Sweden. It's a black lake in the Stockholm archipelago. I took this picture the first time Klas [Ernflo] took me there a few years back, and since then I keep on taking photos of the same event every summer."

Cass Bird

"Right after this moment, I confirmed that Daria was a wolverine. When she landed from mid-air she tore the back of her legs open, and without flinching she poured rubbing alcohol on the wounds."

Marlene Marino

"I took this image in Moscow, Russia in 2010 for a larger project. I love the scene. It's full of an intimacy and spontaneity that feels completely pure and universal, they were really having fun!"

Charlie Engman

"This is my sister snoozing in a small cabin in the middle of Yosemite National Park. We were there in the summer but missing the fall."

Joseph Szabo

"I was doing some home portraits of my student. When I finished and was walking down the hallway to get downstairs, I looked into her sister's room and saw this wonderful mess."

Jason Nocito

"YOU ARE ALL BRAINWASHED!"
