Oyster Archive: Julia Nobis' First EVER Cover Story

Shot by Rene Vaile and styled by Imogene Barron for Oyster #88.

We decided to look back at highlights from our past — such as issue #88 which took Julia Nobis as its cover star. When we shot her back in 2010, we knew that she wouldn't be sticking around for long, so went over to her place and shot her there. Rene Vaile photographed her hanging out in her signed Rose Bay Secondary College polo, playing guitar, and snacking on post-school, pre-dinner sandwiches. It's a sweet and intimate look at one of the biggest models to have come out of our country.
