Oyster Playlist: Bitch Prefect
The theme of this playlist is 'Uncle Funk's Cure for the Grumps'.
Bitch Prefect make bratty, bummed-out, kind of brilliant songs. At times they can sound like a bunch of kids who just got simultaneously dumped, getting wasted off cheap beer in a backyard and singing along in inebriated harmony — which is great! But it never gets too messy; there's always a pop sensibility behind their music and it has the power to make you feel these weird things called Emotions (see: 'Bad Decisions'). They made us this playlist called 'Uncle Funk's Cure for the Grumps' and provided no further information about where this title was derived, so I guess you're going to have to use your imagination.
