Oyster Playlist: Kirin J Callinan

Kirin J Callinan, musician and maker of small club documentaries, created a YouTube playlist for us. It's pretty much an ode to the epic ballads of the 70s and 80s (some would say "dad music", but in the best way possible). You've got your John Farnham, Demis Roussos, Spandau Ballet, and a cameo from Dave Dave doing a Michael Jackson skit on Larry King. Kirin will be playing in Sydney on October 11 (that's one week from now) at the Oxford Art Factory before he heads overseas to play shows at CMJ NY. You can also download, for free, his soundtrack to the opening credits of a film that doesn't exist.
