Oyster Playlist: Mikey Gilles (Shorts Label)
Summer just got so much cooler.
Before he moved to The Continent, Mikey Gilles was something of a local hero in Sydney. He was King of the Cricks thanks to his long-reining night, Pod Wars, worked day jobs for the likes of Insight and Ksubi, and has the most luscious man-locks I have ever seen.
Currently based between London and Berlin, Mikey is still The Dude. He runs a heavy metal night and has recently launched a boardshort label, name Shorts. These brightly coloured beach fashions are made to fade and come in one 'perfect' fit ("not too long, not too short"). If you like the sound of them (and you should), you can buy them here.
Even though Mikey's probably burning around Berlin right now being generally awesome, we knew he was missing an Australian summer so we asked him to make us a playlist fit for warm weather. Cheers Mike!
