Oyster Playlist: Nina Las Vegas

Ahead of her party tonight at Goodgod!

Tonight, Triple J presenter Nina Las Vegas is holding her first headline show in Sydney at Goodgod. With the aim of sharing her love (and encyclopedic knowledge) of producers and fellow DJs, she's throwing a good ol' listening/dance party which promises to be pleasant on the ear. Says Nina, "After the Triple J House Party shows (with Flume, Beni and What So Not), it hit me that younger club-goers rarely get to hear new club sounds and producers via cheap parties." We think this is an awesome reason to throw a party. Modular DJ Cassian will be playing, along with What So Not, Elizabeth Rose and Triple J's Linda Marigliano. The pre-sale tickets sold out like hot cakes, but if you get there early you can get door tickets from 11pm. Nina made us this playlist as a teaser of what to expect tonight!

'Get It Girl' — Ta-Ku
Although Perth-based Producer Ta-Ku has been making beats for most of the Australian hip hop scene for a few years now, it's his newer more club-friendly production that has me excited. After releasing a whole album filled with Ta-Ku originals and remixes, 'Get It Girl' off RE ϟ TWERK my fav.  Plus, it samples Beyoncé.

'Latch' — Disclosure (feat. Sam Smith)
This track isn’t that new, however it's still my 'getting' ready song. And my 'going for a run song'. And my 'cooking dinner' song.

'Metal Arrives' — Symphony Hall
Out on French label Marble Records, Riton and Canblaster dropped a very seductive track called 'One Night Stand' earlier this week. Symphony Hall is their collaborative name, and one can only hope that this team continues to work together. 'Metal Arrives' is also a real weekend banger.

'BBBS' — Clockwork
Clockwork's 'BBBS' is the B-side to the LA producer's single 'Titan'. Although the title track is a solid main room song, the drop in 'BBBS' after the 'Big Bad Bassline Sound' vocal line KILLS ME.

'Jeremih' — 773 Love (Cashmere Cat Edit)
Jeremih's Late Nights mixtape is still on top of my 'most played' mix. Thinking the Mike Will Made It-produced jam couldn't get any better, I was proved wrong by Norwegian producer Cashmere Cat!
