Playlist: Gay Bash Wedding March
Put a ring on it!
Gay Bash are inviting you to the wedding of your dreams this Mardi Gras, and bridezillas are welcome: it's a Wedding March! Put a ring on it across four levels of the Oxford Hotel, Darlinghurst, where you'll enjoy unparalled views of this Saturday's parade (amongst other things).
Wedding DJs will include Kato, Softwar, Matt Van Schie, National Treasure, Levins, MC Gaff E and thousands of other uninvited guests. Pre- and post-parade tickets (of which there a very few remaining) are available at Moshtix.
Forgot to start that gift registry? Never mind, we got you something anyway: a playlist!
10) Jagged Edge - 'Let's Get Married (Remix)'
The original is an INCREDIBLY boring proposal ballad but this remix, which 8 Run-D.M.C. and samples 'It's Like That', is a great improvement. Whatever happened to Jagged Edge? Oh right: "The group performed the single at the wedding of Theodore Long and Kristal Marshall on the September 21, 2007, episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown." Thanks, Wikipedia!
9) K-Ci and JoJo - 'All My Life'
Brothers from Jodeci record love song, resulting in painful renditions of said song by wedding bands for all of eternity.
8) Bryan Ferry - 'Let's Stick Together'
I like to play this at weddings where the people aren't boring.
7) Billy Idol - 'White Wedding'
I saw Billy Idol supporting Depeche Mode in Berlin and it was pretty much the best thing in the world ever. Especially this song.
6) UGK - 'International Player's Anthem (feat. Andre 3000)'
Andre gets hitched.
5) John Paul Young - 'Love Is In The Air'
I've always wondered if they place this at weddings in the rest of the world, or only in Australia.
4) The Dixie Cups - 'Chapel Of Love'
Imagine if those were your bridesmaid dresses!
3) Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes - '(I've Had) The Time Of My Life'
The boss level of wedding dances.
2) Cast of My Best Friend's Wedding - 'I Say A Little Prayer For You'
Julia Roberts is SO PATHETIC in this movie, it makes me so angry. Almost as angry as seeing what Rupert Everett has done to his face.
1) Guns N' Roses - 'November Rain'
The ultimate wedding music video. Guns N' Roses actually paid for this themselves so that they had complete creative control.
