Roaming Free
If you stare into InnerSpeaker's cover art for too long, you can't help but feel a little tripped out? As I sit here staring into the rippling sky, I can't help wondering: did I use the right mushrooms for dinner?
Either way, this highly anticipated release by Perth locals Tame Impala writhes with distortion, travelling to the far corners of your mind's horizon with lo-fi riffs and the continual throb of distorted bass.
Produced and recorded by Kevin Parker, engineered by Tim Holmes (Death in Vegas) and mixed by Dave Fridmann (MGMT / Flaming Lips), the album is filled with psychedelic pop songs that will send you into a cosmic dream well before you've listened to all 11 tracks.
InnerSpeaker takes Tame Impala's sound to new heights, and will surely see them reach out to an even wider audience. Looking at the success of their self-titled debut and considering that they're on their way to tour in the U.S., the sky's the limit for Tame Impala.
