Russell Brand is Coming to Australia

Britain's number one eccentric, charming, slightly mad, air thrusting, bearded comedian is heading south. Russell Brand will be performing in a series of arena shows in Australia this November and December. Since shooting to international stardom in Forgetting Sarah Marshall (and in his short-term marriage with Katy Perry's), Russell has been bringing his strung-out 70s rockstar persona to the world, with 'air sex' and his own TV show. The I am a Walrus tour will be his first full national Australian tour, where we can expect more of his spectacular vocal stylings seen recently at the London Olympics closing ceremony. 

Visa holders can purchase pre-sale tickets from 3pm today until 12pm Thursday 20 September (or until tickets sell out, which they very well might).

Tickets will be on sale for the general public via Ticketek from 9am Tuesday 25 September. In the meantime, in what is possibly the weirdest interview situation ever, watch Russell being out-funnied by the Dalai Lama:
