See Paper Engineer Benja Harney At Work for Adidas Originals

"I only accept perfection from myself."

We've been in the studio with DJ/producer Beni Single and plated up with chef Mitch Orr, and now we get to see paper engineer Benja Harney at work — care of the adidas Originals 'Make Moves' film series. The series follows four ambitious young dudes who are running ahead of the pack (in sneakers, of course) to celebrate the re-launch of an adidas classic from 1984: the adistar Racer heritage shoe.

Benja brings to life things that were previously thought to only exist in children's imaginations. He manipulates the fragile form of paper in the name of art and fashion, and has designed for the likes of Hermès, the Sydney Opera House and Kylie Minogue, to name a few. He also made the rad pop-up comic book paper installation at the Romance Was Born show this year (see the photo above, shot by Ryan Kenny for Oyster).

Watch him inventing sculptures in his studio, and making an adidas shoe that puts your good old paper crane to shame.

Stay tuned for the fourth and final adidas Originals film installment featuring graphic artist Luca Ionsecu.
