Kirrily Johnston: MBFWA Review and Gallery
Kirrily's 2012 Fashion Week show included bright colours and nuns.
Kirrily Johnston's off-site show was at Maurice Terzini's restaurant, Neild Avenue in Rushcutter's Bay. Bright floral ankle-length dresses opened the show worn with matching head scarfs-come-veils, followed by an array of party dresses which you could imagine yourself wearing whilst drinking a fancy cocktail. Fuchsia and lime green were key colors and there was a not-quite hippie thing going on with patchwork kaftans and tightly-rolled hair that almost looked like dreadlocks. In another instance, girls wore long black or white dresses with matching veils, looking a lot like nuns. The earrings were really cool — big and mirrored.
