Social Snaps: Future Music Festival Sydney
Sweaty but siked!
Sydney's leg of Future Music Festival was held at the Royal Randwick Racecourse over the weekend. Coming a long way since its beginnings in 2006, 45,000 people made up the sweaty but siked crowd at Future this year. Aphex Twin, Die Antwoord, New Order and Skrillex were among the internationally-renowned headline acts we were most eager to catch, while the DFA stage also proved to be a favourite (may or may not have done something resembling a dance. With a glow stick). Adrenalin-junkies took to the carnival rides, and VIPs got to watch the action from the First Class Lounge elevated viewing platforms next to the two main stages, as well as get their make-up did by the MAC girls and treat themselves to a veritable feast of Vietnamese rolls and duck pancakes (one of the many highlights of the day). Overall, everyone was happy-as-can-be just to be there, and due props must be given to the weather for not unleashing its tempestuous wrath upon thy festival-goers.
